Ricki has 25 plus years of experience working with physician practices. With ten plus years managing large and small physician practices and fifteen plus years of NextGen implementation experience, she leads the CISCON consulting team.

She has managed the full implementation of many NextGen clients as well as managing CISCON’s consultants in the implementation of hundreds of NextGen EHR and EPM solutions across most specialties. Ricki has also guided clients through innovative new solutions for the HIE product and other new product development. Ricki holds a Bachelor of Science in Math and Computer Science and a Master’s in Business Administration.

Scott Abbott, CFO/Human Resources BS Health Services Administration, Registered Nurse

Scott brings 20 plus years of executive level experience in medical practice development and management to CISCON’s business management and consulting services.

Consulting engagements are facilitated through Scott with professional management of client contracting, billing, and account services. Scott also serves as CISCON’s internal consultant in the areas of Executive Level Practice Management and Provider Level Medical Practice. Scott is a Registered Nurse and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration.

Tarie Fortner, Director of Consulting ASN Registered Nurse, ACLS & ACLS Instructor (Inactive), CCRN (Inactive), NCP

Tarie brings thirty-four years of experience in the healthcare industry and over fourteen years’ experience with the NextGen software and project management to CISCON. Prior to becoming a consultant, Tarie worked as an RN in multiple specialties, including critical care both in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Tarie managed a large health care practice while implementing her first NextGen EHR in 2001.

As a consultant with CISCON over the past 10 years, Tarie’s primary focus has been in assisting healthcare organizations successfully implement NextGen with a Best Practice approach, empowering the staff to function at their highest level of expertise.

Tarie has assisted many organizations with re-engineering workflows, project management in the implementation of new installations as well as upgrades of the NextGen application, KBM, and associated modules. Tarie has successfully assisted organizations that specialize in Family Medicine Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Urology, Dermatology, Surgery, Pulmonology, ENT, Behavioral Health, and Multispecialty Residency Programs (including CHC’s and Tribal Health),.

She focuses not only on implementation and basic training but advanced training with a focus on optimization of the software. Tarie’s project management skills and her 34 years of inpatient and ambulatory clinical experience in multi-specialties give comfort to the physicians and clinical staff during an EHR implementation. Tarie is a graduate of Indiana University School of Nursing and maintains an active RN license.

Trang Ball, Oklahoma BS Finance, Master’s in Healthcare Administration, NCP

Trang has been with CISCON for over 14 years. She has extensive knowledge in the area of the KBM databases and has many years of experience with development of both templates and documents and with Document Manager (formerly ICS).

She has worked with many customers to develop custom templates and documents to meet specific workflows within the organizations. Additionally she has worked with clients to develop new templates for specialties with little to no content in the KBM including Neonatology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and others. Trang has worked with many CISCON customers in the area of workflow and gap analysis on new implementations as well as upgrades.

She has performed knowledgebase upgrade gap analyses to prepare customers for the work involved with a KBM upgrade including assistance throughout the entire upgrade cycle. She has a strong commitment to timely delivery of projects and is customer oriented to meet implementation needs. Trang has also worked with customers to develop training materials, has assisted with train the trainer programs, and “go live” support. She is excellent in issue resolution. Additionally, she is certified in Crystal Report XI to help clients with reporting needs. Trang holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration.

Diane Blandford, Florida Registered Nurse, NCP

Diane is an RN with many years of clinical experience including Emergency Medicine, Inpatient Surgery, Outpatient Allergy Services, and Primary Care in a cross-regional large physician practice.

She has experience with the Nextgen EHR implementation of large physician practices, including the training program development, training clinical and clerical staff, assisting with workflow redesign and providing end user support during the go live process. She has extensive knowledge of the NextGen EHR including file maintenance, system and practice template configuration, E-prescribing, HQM portal, and report setup. Diane has years of experience in clinical workflow, as an RN clinical flow is one of her strong points.

Diane is very conscience of the fact that adhering to nursing practice is an important part of the new workflow design. She has been praised for her patience when training and supporting new users including nursing and provider staff. Her specialties include Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, CHC, OB/GYN, pulmonary, Nephrology, Urology, Urgent Care and Cardiology.

Sandy Boynton, Florida BS Management Information Systems

Sandy has the unique distinction of leading the implementation team that installed the first NextGen EPM in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1996. Using her 30 plus years in the healthcare industry and degree in Management Information Systems, she has facilitated projects including system implementation, business process redesign and technology integration, accounts receivable management, claims processing, system testing, and application design. Sandy’s experience also includes project management for both new implementations and upgrades over many NextGen versions of EPM and EHR solutions.

She is currently involved in preparing for ICD10 implementation and testing. She has continually achieved an outstanding record for successful implementations and support for the NextGen product over the past 18 years. Sandy holds a Bachelors of Management Information Systems.

Renee Ethridge, Texas

Renee has worked in healthcare for over thirty years with over 8 years of experience with the NextGen software in a variety of roles. With a combination of her twenty-seven years as practice administrator and her expert knowledge of NextGen software; Renee is able to walk practices through custom configuration and the implementation of efficient processes that best meet the individual client’s needs.

She has expertise in many facets of NextGen applications and ancillary products. Renee has extensive experience in project management, train-the-trainer, end-user staff training, training documentation development, claim analysis, report building, and custom configuration of the practice management application.

Renee’s primary focus is improving the practice’s revenue and operations by maximizing the usage of the NextGen software, thereby empowering and allowing the staff to function at their highest level of expertise. She focuses not only on implementation and basic training but advanced training with customized set-up and usage of the software to achieve best practice benchmarks. Renee has supported EHR upgrades and go-lives for clients; working on site with the providers and clinical staff. She has effectively assisted organizations that specialized in pain management, orthopedics, cardiology, optometry, urology, primary care, behavioral health, physical therapy, neurology, pediatrics, CHC, FQHC, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Russell Flewellen, Minnesota BS Biology, Masters in Information System Management, NCP, Mirth Connect

Russell has worked in the healthcare industry for over ten years. He has over 4 years of experience with the NextGen software as a SQL developer, template and document developer as well as 5 years of experience implementing NextGen upgrades. Additionally before NextGen Russell worked as a study coordinator for clinical research of both medical devices and drugs for 5 years.

Russell has led many clients through the development process phases including testing, implementation, trouble-shooting, and fixing technical issues. As a consultant Russell has managed 8.3 upgrades, performed GAP Analysis and custom development, trained 8.3 workflows and completed the technical upgrades to new application and KBM versions.

Russell is experienced in interface work with Rosetta and Mirth Connect to radiology vendors, lab vendors, and immunization registries. Russell has worked with organizations that specialize in transplant surgery, pain management, internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, obstetrics, gynecology and podiatry. Russell holds a Bachelor in Biology, a Masters of Information Systems Management, and is certified in Mirth Connect.

Jocelin Jasa, Washington BS Electrical Engineering, NCP

Jocelin has worked in a variety of industries and comes to the healthcare industry with a strong technical background. With over 10 years of experience in SQL, she has extensive technical knowledge that allows her to bring creative solutions to the NextGen EHR. Jocelin’s primary focus includes assisting clients with financial reporting and regulatory reporting for PCMH, ACO, GPRA, and DART.

In addition to strong reporting skills she also assists clients with data conversions, template development, document development, and interfaces. Clients who have worked with Jocelin enjoy her resourcefulness and excellent problem solving skills to go above and beyond bringing efficient and unique solutions to complex requirements. Traci Kaltenbacher, Oklahoma AA Liberal Arts, NCP

Traci has worked in the healthcare industry for over 15 years. She has over 7 years of experience in a multi-specialty NextGen environment specializing in both technical and application areas including the security for System Administrator, template and document development, SQL, Crystal Reports, HIE and Rosetta. She has developed custom templates and documents to meet unique workflows within organizations.

Traci has led many clients through the development process phases including testing, implementation, trouble-shooting, and fixing technical issues. She has worked directly with Rosetta and HIE interface analysts on the implementations of lab, radiology and hospital document feeds.

Traci has worked with CISCON customers in the area of workflow and gap analysis on new implementations as well as upgrades. Sara Peche, Texas BA Biology, Health Information Technology Certificate, NCP

Sara has been working with the NextGen suite of products for more than 4 years. She brings experience in full implementation from training program development, training material development, train the trainer programs, workflow analysis, go-live support, and ultimately full product life-cycle support. Sara’s skills give her the ability and patience to teach a variety of end users and the technical knowledge to optimize configuration of the product.

Additionally she can provide expertise on template and document development as well as most other ancillary NextGen applications. Sara is dedicated and persistent in client care and making sure patients receive quality treatment. She has effectively assisted organizations that specialized in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Orthopedics and OBGYN. Karen Rising, Montana BS Computer Science, NCP

Karen brings over 30 years of experience in software development to the healthcare industry evidenced by strong technical competence. Moving from the circuit design and police records product development world into healthcare by way of Medical Coding, Medical Billing, and Medical Terminology continuing education classes Karen has led large multi-specialty NextGen EHR implementations since 2006.

Karen’s experience with a variety of product architecture and programming environments allow her to lead clients through analysis, design, and development of template and SQL Stored Procedure solutions. She enjoys working with clients on trouble-shooting problems and brainstorming creative solutions.

Additionally Karen provides clients with resolutions to help manage their practice including reports for clinic metrics, clinic oversight, Meaningful Use, and other quality initiative reporting. Her clients appreciate her thorough attention to detail and imagination in development. Karen holds a Bachelor in Computer Science from UC Berkeley.

Marta Sylvia BCom Management Information Systems and Operations Management, Six Sigma Green Belt, NCP

Marta has worked with the NextGen EHR and EPM systems since 2007 in a variety of roles. She is skilled in a multitude of components of EHR, EPM, Lab Interface implementations, Population Health programs, and Meaningful Use programs including workflow design, training, train the trainer programs, development of training documentation, interface testing, go-live support and project management.

Marta is an experienced project manager and trainer having trained physicians, nurses, and administrative staff on practice management systems and electronic health records. Her technical and communication skills allow her to excel at issue analysis, test plan development, and progress tracking in addition to acting as a liaison between clinical/project staff and technical staff.

She has also worked with customers to develop processes and provide webinars related to reporting data for Meaningful Use, Patient Centered Medical Home, quality reporting, Physician Incentive programs, as well as Population Health products. Marta is an expert in assisting new and existing clients through multiple upgrades in both the application and KBM in order to be compliant with regulatory reporting programs. She has worked in many specialties including Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, GI, Orthopedics, OBGYN, Dermatology, Weight Management, ENT, and Ophthalmology. Marta holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in Management Information Systems and Operations Management and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Nancy Wallberg, Minnesota AD Business, Bachelors in Healthcare Management (Candidate), NCP

Nancy has over 15 years of experience including roles as business office manager, in implementation and training, in revenue cycle management, and in project management all while using the NextGen EHR and EPM systems. As a previous user of both systems, she can provide ‘real life’ scenarios during her trainings.

She also has extensive knowledge in the billing processes and has proven to provide not only training and implementation, but also assistance with internal billing processes. Nancy has trained billing staff, front desk scheduling staff, clinical staff, management and physicians, as well as providing on-site go live support throughout most implementation processes.

She has worked with clients on the development and deployment of internal ‘change control’ processes and clinical workflows to achieve efficiency and quality program reporting needs. Nancy has worked with many specialties, including Family Practice, OBGYN, Behavioral Health, and Internal Medicine. She has worked with several CHC’s and FQHC facilities, making her very knowledgeable in their requirements, including certification for PCMH and multiple grants. She holds an Associate’s degree in Business and is working on a Bachelors in Healthcare Management.

Jennifer White, Tennessee BS Computer Science and Business, NCP

Jennifer brings over 15 years of technical experiences to CISCON. She specializes in template and document development that allows her to bring innovative solutions to the NextGen EHR. Jennifer’s secondary focus includes assisting clients with financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and clinic management reporting. Additionally Jennifer enjoys assisting clients with training ancillary NextGen applications.
